For the master bedroom of a Philadelphia townhouse, an early 18th C. Brussels tapestry provided all the fantasy necessary. Hung behind the bed, it was kept free from competition by stenciling the design of an 18th Aubusson carpet on the floor. Festoons in silk taffeta and a few exquisite antiques contributed luxury within a modern sensibility to the space.
