In our last blog post we discussed how to select the best paint color for your space. This week we are sharing some of our all-time favorite paint colors.
We have a very strong like for Benjamin Moore’s Classic Collection. These are the older more muted paint colors and different from their Color Preview Collection which tend to be the brighter colors. The Color Preview colors are great for great pops of color in children’s spaces, fitness studios that we design and other commercial spaces. However, in high-end residential design the more muted Classic Collection colors add a sophistication and luxurious feel to our designed spaces.
These are some of our favorites from the Benjamin Moore Classic Collection:
BLUES:
Glass Slipper – A very soft pale blue pastel is so soothing and barely there. A very popular Master bedroom color for us.
Van Deusen Blue – One of the historical colors in the collection. A rich blue that looks great indoors or outdoors as a front door or shutters.
GRAYS:
Brushed Aluminum – A warm gray that looks great with black & white for today’s modern kitchens and bathrooms or bedrooms.
Alaskan Skies – A very soft pastel color of gray, taupe and lavender tones that is really soothing and really luxe. We use it in living rooms, kitchens and even bathrooms. It works almost anywhere.
BEIGES & CREAMS:
Barbados Sand – A warm sandy beige with orange undertones, it’s a neutral that looks great in hallways, staircases and when you need a soft neutral background.
Muslin – A more taupe neutral that works great in contemporary or traditional spaces. Pairs especially well with a crisp white trim.
WHITES:
White Dove – Our go to warm white ceiling color when you don’t want a cold white or blue-y white ceiling.
Super White – The whitest white when you want that paper white look to go with blacks, grays, blues and cool tones.
REDS:
Classic Burgundy – One of our favorite reds and few do red as well as Benjamin Moore. Great in libraries, powder rooms, dining rooms and spaces that need some rich drama.
Heritage Red – A bright fire engine red when you need a pop of color or that dramatic front door.
