One of the most popular spaces at Design Home 2016 has been the roof deck on top of the home and on the 6th floor. With 360 degree views including the Delaware River, the Benjamin Franklin bridge, the city skyline, and sunset views, it is a very dramatic space.
The egress to the deck is a pilot house which contains the elevator, a powder room and a bar and beverage center which serves the roof deck. Outside on the roof deck there is a plunge pool, an outdoor kitchen, an outdoor TV and lounging and eating areas as well as a bar service counter for passing through drinks from the interior bar.
Most of this wonderment is due to the excellent design abilities of JKRP Architects and the lead Principal on the project, Jose Hernandes, AIA. We worked closely with the architect and developer to select the materials and finishes for the spaces, and our furniture sponsor Hill Company worked with us to select the best furnishings and accessories for the modern rooftop oasis. Lamps.com added sconces and outdoor plug in LED floor lamps which changed colors.
As people toured the house and ended up on the roof they were given a treat with the incredible views and luxurious outdoor spaces. Everyone thought it was the perfect ending. Thanks to US Construction, JKRP Architects and the Hill Company for making this incredible space the cherry on top of Design Home.
