Fashion and interior design trends are both forms of expression for the consumer and there is often overlap between the two. Fashion trends tend to be more fickle and transient than other design trends. As a result, only the most popular of trends making their way into the interior design world. Both worlds, however, are unquestionably influenced by artistic expressions, personal taste, and cultural themes.
This past week, the Pantone Color Institute published their Spring/Summer 2021 Fashion Color Trend Report for New York Fashion Week. What we love about this color collection is that it’s exactly what many people need right now; these colors that are vibrant and uplifting. According to Pantone, these colors “combine a level of comfort and relaxation with sparks of energy that encourage and uplift our moods.”
We are excited to see how these colors manifest themselves into the interior design world in the spring and summer season. Which ones are you favorites?
